Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including home care, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with daily activities and ensure their comfort and well-being while maintaining a safe environment.

Duties
As a Nursing Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting patients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Monitoring and recording vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Providing support in mobility and transferring patients safely from beds to wheelchairs or other locations.
• Assisting with feeding and ensuring proper nutrition for patients who require help.
• Maintaining patient records in systems such as Cerner to ensure accurate documentation of care provided.
• Communicating effectively with nursing staff regarding patient conditions and any changes observed.
• Supporting emergency medicine procedures when necessary and following protocols for critical care situations.
• Engaging with geriatric patients and providing companionship to enhance their emotional well-being.
• Performing phlebotomy tasks as required for laboratory tests.

Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:

• Previous experience in home care or assisted living environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with critical care or acute care settings is a plus.
• Knowledge of emergency medicine practices is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring techniques.
• Proficiency in using healthcare systems like Cerner for documentation purposes.
• A compassionate approach towards geriatrics and an ability to connect with patients on a personal level.
